Pictures of Susannah and me
This is a picture of my wife, Susannah, and me at our
wedding reception at Bykov. This is a chalet in the Czech Republic
which was the former stable-house for Prince Von Metternich of
Austria.

This is Susannah and I at Flathead Lake, just south
of Kalispell, Montana. We were here for our first birthdays
together in February of 2005.

This is a picture of Susannah with her friend's
baby.

Pictures from the National Bison Range
This is an American Bison (erroneously called
buffalo) at the National Bison Range near Moiese, Montana.

That same day we saw a herd of about a dozen elk.
This was the first time I ever saw an elk in the wild.
The pronghorn there (erroneously called antelope) are
not particularly shy.

Pictures from Glacier National Park

This is a picture of my friend Robert Zemcik and
me at Glacier National Park in September of 2004.

My wife takes some great pictures. This is one of
St. Mary's Lake.

Another of her great pics. This is of Two Medicine
Lake.

Over Memorial Day (2005) Susannah and I went to
Glacier with my sister Sarah who was visiting from Minnesota. The
mountain goats were showing off at the Goat Lick on the south side
of the park.

On that same trip we had to stop on the road to watch
this enormous cinnamon black bear. It was by far the largest black
bear I have ever seen.
Not 5 minutes after we stopped to watch the bear we
were forced to stop again, this time to watch an elk. She was not
particularly happy to see us, and she barked like a dog at us. This
was a great trip for wildlife viewing as we also saw bighorn sheep
and a couple of coyotes.
Along with some getting to see some great animals we
also got to see some very interesting plants. This is among the
strangest trees I have ever seen.

Other Pictures of Interest
I had seen moose in the wild in Norway, but never
quite like this. This was at Welcome Creek, only 40 miles from
Missoula. This cow's calf was nearby, so she wasn't all that happy
to see us.
